Press Release Body: Pamporovo is placed in the Rodopi Mountains, famous for being the birth place of the mythical singer Orpheus. It received its name from the convoys of mules of the Raicho Belev, a man from the town of Smolyan, which followed one another as the wagons of a train (from the Turkish word for "train" - pampor) carrying goods. It is situated at the foot of Snezhanka peak. It is a ski centre for all categories of skiers and has excellent ski runs, including even a racing ski run for a giant slalom, as well as a first-class lift system. The ski runs in Pamporovo come in all difficulty levels (maps of the ski runs and hotel information about Pamporovo you can find at http://www.ski-bg.com). Most of them start from the top peak Snezhanka. There are 4 nursery slopes at the foot of the peak and along its western slope. Over 14 ski rentals offering skiing equipment as well as toboggans, sledges and snowboards. Not to forget the snow tabling - this is the fantastic way to spend an evening. The length of the runs is 18 km. Alpine tracks as mentioned with various grades of difficulty. There are also 34 km. long distance running tracks. Longest run is 4 km. Total runs are 25. All of them pretty lined with pine trees. The main direction of the slopes is North, East and West. There are 6 chair lifts, 13 surface lifts and a lot a baby and drug lifts. There will be one brand new lift opened for the coming winter season from Snezhanka peak to the picturesque village of Stoikite. And some more ski runs to enjoy. The variety of ski and snowboard packages include opportunities for all skiers - from advanced to beginners. More information about the ski packs is available at http://www.ski-bg.com Due to the influence of the Mediterranean climate the temperatures in the resort have small daily variations. The surrounding high peaks keep it from the winds and in winter preserve the snow cover on the northern slopes of the Snezhanka and Murgavets peaks. The resort enjoys more than 240 sunny days a year. The average annual temperature here is 8.5C and its blanket of snow in winter is between 140 and 150 cm. Snow stays between 150 and 200 days a year and makes Pamporovo into paradise for all ski and snowboard maniacs. The access to Pamporovo is easy although during the high season it takes a while to get there due to limited number of vehicles that service the line from Plovdiv and Sofia. The best way to get there is to offer a private transfer, which is the fastest and most untroubled way of travelling especially during winter in the mountains. More information about transfers to Pamporovo is available at http://www.transferbulgaria.com Pamporovo is the smallest of the 3 main winter resorts in Bulgaria but hidden in maybe the most hospitable place in the country.
